Not to mention they took out the ugly amber strip.

All you need to do with the 06 headlights is buy a chromed turn signal bulb, e.g. from evostyle.

 

Would you guys really spend $1200 on those 06 headlights? I mean for if you guys have that cash... then just add $300 more and get a HKS TD Ti exhaust system.

I mean... the 06 headlights are sweet...

But for $1200... I can get something that will make my Z alot better...
(Ie. HKS exhaust, 3.9FD, bodykits... etc.)

 

+1, they may be cool but they are not $1200 worth of cool...

 

when i first saw the new 06 headlights on the picture...i thought it was ok....BUT it looks better in person.....BUT i still like the 03-05s lights better

 

yeah 1200 dollars is steep, I dont kno if I would pay for that, hey somone one mentioned something about a chrome turn signal bulb I want to do that but I hear you have to take off the entire headlight set just to replace any bulbs, is it that much trouble?

 

saw the 06 at the SF Auto Show last week, I have to admit those headlights are dam# ugly. A guy next to me, also a Z owner, suggested that the little bumps all over the lens where actually acne. The additional chrome horizontal piece, screams out "I'm a Chevy logo". Yuck, Nissan please stop being so creative and ruining this car. It is reminding me of the evolution or devolution of original Z and it's subsequent abortions.

 

A group of us went to the SF Show as well. I agree with you that those bumbs do look like a diease. Other than that, the rest of the head lights looks good.

 

well I dunno I know that it is all about opinions and what you like but I have to disagree, the reason why I bought a Z was the guy that lives across the street has a 03 silverstone touring. I would always ask him about it, to the point i bought my own. Me and him talk all the time and this past weekend we pulled up the cars next to each other and compared them, now keep in mind same color and all, and there is something about the new headlights that is intriguing, you call it the chevy look, I just call it different. Im sorry if I like change in cars because it gives it orginality, if they didnt change it, than my car would be automatically an 03-06, not doggin the older models at all, but I kind of like it when i run into other z drivers and they go "oh snaps thats an 06 isnt it?" It makes me feel different especially in a place like DC where these cars are like hotfire, I actually am somewhat different. So call the headlights a chevy car, or a disease, but me I call it different.

Wonder if theres a way to use the 06 assembly but replace it with the 05 cover to get rid of those diease bumbs.

I like the 06, much more style IMO. Then again its all about what you like, not what the guy next to you prefers.

All I can say is, I have not had any ladies complaing about my 06 GT

our Aus spec came stock with the smoked amber bumper reflectors, but i went out and bought the orange ones instead
