I'm only 25. It was weird, I was looking at a new C6 and the salesman was asking all these questions to make sure I was serious about buying one. They told me the average age of buyers was 48. I would have bought the C6 except it was 10K more than my Z. I think I am lucky to be able to have such a nice car at a young age.

I'm 42 and have three daugters, I usually ride Liter Bikes but just had to have the Z.....
Besides, I can run circles around the young dudes so I really don't keep track of my age....I'll always be a youngster....

56 here. I had my midlife crisis five years ago when I bought a Shelby Cobra replica as a weekend toy. I sold it a couple years ago. The Z is my daily driver and a Kawasaki 1500 Vulcan classic is my weekend toy now.

59 Here, Bought the Z because I moved to the coast and have a business 120 miles away. Make the drive every other week or so, really look forward to the drive since I got the Z. My three kids are educated and doing well in their careers, so I thought it was my time. I own two other cars.

56 and have wanted a sports car with the Z's capabilities (and price) for a very long time. Last sports car was a 1971 Triumph spitfire, bought new.

No comparing the two but they were and are both very enjoyable.

You guys all rock. I am 27 and if I make it to be 60+ then I hope I am still as cool as you guys. To the original poster, a lot of the Houston guys get together now and then. Check out the Texas section of this forum to see when the bigger meets are. Some buddies get together every now and then for no reason as well. Feel free to hop in when you want to.

I've been asked the "is that your mid life crisis car" questions a few time. I just say if being able to afford it and enjoy it is mid life then I guess it is.

So happy 51st., and enjoy that car on your birthday. Just remember know one knows were there mid life is!

I may not be the oldest Z owner at 63 but I'll lay claim to being the oldest with FI. One year now with the APS TT set up boosting at 9 psi and making 404 RWHP on stock internals and 91 octane.

wow... suddenly I feel very young on here (I'm only 44!)

glad I got the Z before I was too old to be able to get out of it

IMHO, a mustang is a mid life crisis car... the Z says "class"

WTG... You are cool and if you make it down this way I would love to see your set-up.

I retired from the military last year and bought the Z as my reward at age 45.

Prior to retirement I was moving every second or third year meaning I needed something that I could drive in Australia's heat, Seattle's wet winters, and SoCal's sunshine. Now I just have to worry about SoCal.

1. Finanaced it for 12 months.
2. Garage kept and driven once a week to work and on Sunday to church.
3. No kids and just a very understanding wife to ride with.

I've had it for nine months and have less than 1600 miles on it. I'll most likely keep in for another eight or ten years unless I replace it with a Porsche (or if I go bald a Corvette).

You need to get out and drive that Z. That’s not enough to keep the battery charged up.

If you go bald and switch to a Vet, than the appropriate hairstyle will be a comb-over!

Don't worry about the mid-life crisis comments. I get asked the same thing, and I am 26.

Maybe I am just ahead of the curve
