New rear hatch cylinders.
Replaced my stock hatch cylinders with heavy duty gas filled ones from Performance Nissan. Now my hatch is easier to lift, and the cylinders hold the hatch at most any angle when going up, on my 05 Touring Z. The stock ones didn't work too well when I ordered the new Z with the optional Nismo spoiler. Oh yes, thanks Jason for your help.

Yea yea yea, thanks for bringing this up. Had the Nismo rear spoiler installed at my local dealership and the hatch wouldn't release. I was told that the updated springs were already installed and that I had to buy the upgraded hatch shocks ($229+). Worked well for a few weeks and then the same problem. Fob or button, I have to pull up on the hatch as I open, or it will remain latched. DOH!!!!

Your Welcome!
Even stock my car wouldnt open just from pressing the botton or the remote...
ZMania? Do they not hold up the rear hatch when the hatch is open?
