Not all cars have one. usually newer or more luxury cars.. I know the Z has one cause the finance manager try to push me on getting their tune up deal 3 years.. anyways suppose to be replaced after every 15k-20k miles not sure where.. most likely.. its the reason why we don't have a glove compartment box..

I really don't think the Z has a cabin filter... I've looked through the service manual and there's no reference to it... none of the diagrams show anything close. Plus I've read people complaining about why the Z didn't have a filter for the AC.

As for the smell, lots of cars get it... usually a stank, mildew type, sweat like smell. Car dealerships use a spray for it on their used cars. I had the same smell and killed it with "Odor Out." It gets rid of sig smoke too. You spray part in the intake under the passanger side dash with the ac on recirc and the rest you spray in the intake under the hood by the windshield with the ac on fresh air. It costs about $5. Lysol doesn't always work plus I hate the smell.

Say goodbye to the little sweaty fat man living inside your dash!!

The odor is from the AC condensation that wasnt able to dry or drain out when you turned the AC off. So that condensation now mixed with some dust thats been sitting for a while smells funny. All the cars that I owned did it.

The G's have them.....

Located behind the glove box...... 75CND to get Infiniti to change it or 34.95CND and do it yourself...very easy!

It used to be hard to find, but I bought my last bottle at Fred Meyer. JC Whitney has it too, take a look at what the bottle looks like:
Odor Out at JC Whitney

When I first got my Z a buddy of mine was makin fun of the size of the doors sayin my Z was a Japanese Camero... I told him it was more like a Trans AM... So what's a Trans AM without the Classic Firebird!
