350Z Limited Edition Collector's Set
I bit the bullet on this item offering at Courtesyparts.com. Ordered on 12/31 (last day of $100 introductory price) and received on Thursday!!! Well, it turns out that it is a product from jcollection-models.com. EWA distributes it, but I haven't yet asked them how much they charge. Still, I think the price is good considering what you get:
* Black cardboard box, hinged w/ velcro closure, large logos.
* vacuum molded interior, felt covered w/ clear plastic lid; remove through side of box to access contents.
* All 8 factory-matched colors on metal die-cast bodies; 1/43rd scale; good detail.
* 3 chassis w/ different interiors - frost, charcoal, orange seating; good detail.
* Enough screws (and driver!) to assemble all 3 chassis w/ bodies of choice.
The fun is to assemble interior/exterior color combinations NOT offered by the factory - 24 possibilities!
Those that got the encased #JC013 Nissan Z Coupe, 1/43rd, silver from J-collection at $24.00 can realize the good value here (8 for $100?).
By the way, the model above is the Fairlady Z. This set is 350Zs - left-sided driver seat, no reflector underneath the side emblems.
I would have to say that they most resemble a Touring model with 6MT, but it has its inaccuracies and lacks some details. All observable chassis specs and quirks are:
* 18" wheels
* 6-speed
* Passenger arm rest also on driver's side
* No depiction of Bose subwoofer
Enjoy!!!
