do you think i could get sponsored?
i got my 350 like 3 or 4 months ago and have a bunch of things done already such as...
axis mod sevens 20"
c/f hood
nismo spoiler
pioneer N2 flip out
harness for the drivers seat
putting on the Greddy body kit this week
and some other minor exterior mods
Would you think that i can get a few sponsorships from some decently legit company's or would i have to get a hook up from someone already sponsored by the company's?
thank you for any input you can give or opinions.

Its more than just putting mods on your car that sponsors look for, its the creativity and unique style that you bring forward. It takes a long time to get a sponsorship. I would advise starting small like most people and try getting sponsored by a local shop, who can help get your work displayed where larger companies can see your work like I did, It took me 2 years and nearly $15,000 in mods before I finaly got my big sponsorship on my last car.
20s (weight slows u down)
c/f hood (seibon or vis weighs about the same as oem which is alumnium)
greddy kit (thats 100% show)
....
when did show mods become go mods?

the only people I know that got sponsored, did it by racing in the NASA circuit. I guess appearance sponsorships are different, you'd probably need a trailer queen to cart around to shows if you wanted a bling sponsor.

This car has one sponsor, and it's a local shop. I may have gotten more, but the key to sponsors is to have a car that will get their name noticed at the shows (which means you have to go to the shows).
To get sponsored, you need to go to shows, place in shows, and have at least some media coverage. Then when you get sponsored, you put the companys stickers all over your ride, they give you some parts or discounts, whichever it may be, and you go to the shows they want you to go to. I've been there and done it, its not all that great.
free **** or less expensive **** for doing going to a show?
bro...
thats a pretty decent job if u ask me
say they give u a 50% disc on your exhaust saving u 500 dollars
then u goto a couple of shows which u inturn enjoy
then basically u earned 500 bucks from the theory of a penny saved is a penny earned...
then ontop of that i dont care if my car has decals... if the decals are legit sponsor decals then i'd wear them proudly
just when ppl put on injen decals when they have k&n products and no injen products thats when its GAY!
any one agree?

I'm not totally saying it sucks, but if they want you to go to a show halfway across the US, youre spending that same $500 you saved on gas, hotel rooms, and to have a car that wins big shows, you cant drive it across the states to get to a show. Rock chips, bent rims, and other things hurt your score. You have to trailor the car everywhere
