Default Anyone tried using this black rear emblem?

Has anyone tried using this as a rear emblem? I think it would look really cool with tinted windows, tails and reverse lights. Pics coming up as soon as it arrives

might look good, not for $60 though, id rather save a little more and shave the emblem completely.

Wouldn't that cost a lot more, to repaint the trunk and all? Regardless, if i ever decide to do it, i'll just eBay it for $50

yea thats why i said save more to do it. in my opinion it looks better with nothing at all than with emblems. and for me its not too much more because ill do the body work myself and have my friend paint it, so basically i pay for materials.

I thought the Z might look good shaved... so I decided to PS it... I decided against it. Shaving will cost you waaaayyy more than $60! Even if they blend, they'll still have to clear coat the entire hatch. I had my front bumper filled, blended and clear coated and it cost $600 from a top notch shop.

My car was vandalized some time ago. The shop cleaned the drivers side with some sort of solution which remover the black from the Z-emblem. I left it that way.

^ that looks kinda cool. I was thinking about color matching the background to my car. I was going to have a sticker/sign shop make something in red vinyl to lay on that badge to it matched my car. anyone ever do this?

davidv, that looks sweet. It matches my silverstone perfectly. Any chance of finding out what they used on it?

Paint thinner/mineral spirits/laquer thinner should all remove the black from your fender emblems.

Wicked idea! I think i may spraypaint the entire thing black and then get a red sticker for the center. That way, it'd look like a black circle / black Z on a red background (to match the car).
