Sounds like a good deal on the outside, but after further investigation, I found out the deal for 5000$ off only counts if you get your loan through the dealer at 35% interest. haha Just kidding. 5000$ sounds like the best deal in all USA. Come on peoples, jump on that.

ps- its prob a typo, and it is suppose to say 500$ off which would be about right. lol

5000 off MSRP isnt unreasonable. It comes out to being about 2000 under invoice, which isnt a bad deal on an 05. I say "go for it!".

When I was shopping for my '05 last year around this time, dealers in SoCal were offering similar discounts on the remaining '04s.

Great deal!

For a 350Z with a MSRP of $32,000, $28,800 is a good price, but $27,000? Forgive me for raining on anyone's parade, but the numbers smell fishy. What’s the old saying? Buyer Beware?

"is 5,000 under MSRP a good deal" shouldn't even be a question. Get it while it lasts.

There is currently a $1,000 marketing support provided by Nissan to its dealers on 05 stock. So the price is really $1,000 below invoice. You take into consideration dealer holdback of 3%, I figure the dealer is basically breaking even at $5,000 off MSRP.

You should normally be able to get a new 05 at $1000 below invoince at this point. Plus, add in the $1000 incentive and you arrive at your $2000 below invoice figure. Sounds like it could be real. COULD being the operative word. You'll need to check it out.

BTW, always use invoice pricing. Even if the dealer tells you relative to MSRP always recalculate it to figure how much above/below invoice it is (trim invoice plus all options at invoice price). I've written elsewhere what you should expect to pay for a new 05 or 06 at this point.
