His atitude has nothing to do with owning a Z and thinking it is a Porsche. People can be jerks no matter what kind of car they are driving.

I once saw these two honda civic si parked with one having lambo doors. I've always liked lambo doors and approached them to ask how they liked it and where they got it done. They shrugged me off and so I left.

And, jvanquish, you stated in the past that you are 23 or something, I don't know your living situation if you are with mom and dad. The 350Z might not be a Porsche. But I own my own house, I have a 02' winter beater jetta that I paid off, And I have a 350Z. I'm not married, all this is on my own Salary. I'm 30, so please pardon me if I can't afford to buy a Porsche and be in the 30-40 mid-life crisis league. I'd rather have some money left over to travel then to say I have a porsche.

yes it was the black. i saw the guy in beaverton. spinners can be ok, if done right. but the wheels had no lip and so the spinners stuck out 2 inches from the wheel!! honestly, i bought a set of the cheesy hub cap spinners for my enclosed trailer as a joke, as these looked almost identical, at first i thought he just had the hubcap ones, lol.

Dude 30-40 mid-life crisis? LOL you be there before ya know it.

Like the others. I wouldnt quite call the Z an Entry level sports car either, affordable? I would agree, but pretty serious and possibly dangerous for a entry level sports car if ya ask me and darn right crazy for a 1st car

And there are topics exactly like this on porsche boards everynow and then as well. No matter what the age or the type of car a jerk is always gonna be a jerk.

It sounds like you didn't even read the post. I never said I worked harder then you. The point I made is that people have other things they need to be paying when they are 30-40 years old. Like a house and the bills that comes with that house. 30-40 years old would also mean a wife and kids to deal wwith as well other then paying for the house.

Your original statement is insulting because you expect us 30-40 year old people to have a porsche and that you have an excuse to have a 350Z because you are only in your twenties.

You are the one implying something. I stated in my post that not all of us can afford to buy a porsche when we have a house/wife/kids instead of living at home with mom and dad.

It seems you came up with your own arguement about working harder.

How did I know that was coming. I have worked just as hard as you to get where I am, top schools and all. It is a great school, no doubt, If you can afford a Z why do you need financial aid?

It even puts a strain on MY pocket to make payments sometimes. Maybe in a few years you can make the payments."

I should have been like "Yeah. Other than the fact that I paid in cash and bought a car that cost me twice as much in exchange, you`re absolutely right."

Too bad I just nodded my head and walked away
It sounds like the guy was projecting his own financial troubles onto you (i.e. if he is struggling to make payments, then you must be also).

At 41, I've learned that some otherwise intelligent people say the stupidest things sometimes. It's amazing how offensive and clueless some people can be. And they just don't realize it, either.

I'm not trying to flame anyone here, but guys like this is what gives us younger people a bad name. jvanquish, I respect that you say you "paid for your own car" and whatever else you might be doing. Has anyone else clicked on his myspace link in his sig??? Maybe I'm the only one that noticed: "Drinking what ever... (Just not cheap beer or liquor) High end living... Driving the car, racing"....and ends with..."Income:Less than $30,000". Which is cool and all, just try not being a dick on here. Once again, not trying to flame just trying to bring a few things to light.

AMEN...

Half the country/world is filled with stupid and ignorant people; being able to identify them and sort them out is an increasingly important skill to have.

On a side note the average 10% increase in stocks and 7% increase in housing annually will beat the 10-20% depreciation you get on your new Porsche. But, go right ahead man!!

BTW, that’s a little shady about the financial aid, I am sure that person that didn’t get it because of you, didn’t need it either!!!

I am 52 and owned a 240z in 1972. I bought a Z to enjoy driving again not to adjust to some false social standing. I could afford a Porsche, but I don't want a 911.
