Internet abyss and I have received a number from the dealer. My number is S261999. Do these numbers mean anything or are they random numbers? Thanks in advance! And welcome!

 

Hey Jill ... so you got an "S" number? I just looked on my customer order form and I have an "R" number ... R124071 to be exact. This is a personal "customer order" sheet faxed to the dealer from Nissan that gives my name, all my phone numbers and my email address ... oh yeh, that "Sept '02" delivery date. The only thing missing are any numbers under the "VIN/SERIAL" column ... DAMN!!!

 

I'm also an R man. Anybody have any idea??

 

How/where did you guys get these #s???

Got it from calling my dealer and asking if he had any info on my delivery.

 

Ok Tim, we are "R-men" ... and we have identical accessories and car color .... the only difference is the model number ... this ought to keep a few people busy for a day or so sorting it out !

(Hey Doc ... the R & S numbers come from the dealer's production order schedule summary he gets regularly from Nissan)

If Jill is the only S #, then it must stand for Super Zgirl.

 

No! Internet abyss had an S# too! Although I do like that...hehe.

 

I was emailed it from my fleet manager at the delearship. I was told that the number was to start tracking my car. He said ill get a VIN number soon that will be associated with it. The number is different from that number that was on my order form. He told me that number is also the number that NNA uses for my car and if I call nissan 800 number that they can pull up my car with that number.

Thats all i know.

I looked at the customer order form sent from Nissan to my dealer and it lists my car as R123817 and someone else on the list with basically the same options as R123822.
This is a list with 5 names all supposed to be getting delivery in August of '02. All of us have order numbers beginning with R123.
I have no idea if this is of any great significance.
It may have to do with the region, the dealer, when orders were placed????

Hey Everybody, what exactly is the R# or S# called by Nissan. Also what is the piece of paper somenone could put up a bitmap of.
I want to call my delaer on Monday and ask him for informatio, but want to use the correct LINGO.

 

Point fivezero... well im thinking the S has something to do with september delievery not with a super women. Yes I am a guy. and I do have a colt M4 14.5 inch barrel full auto, a beretta 92f, a FnFAL, and YEs a .50 cal bmg Berrett 82A1.

I thought you might enjoy my modern miltary collection.

R may mean Aug
S may mean Sept

OR...they others will get a S number later...Like I said i dont undersant the information or numbers.

I do understand the Maritz AKA the Fenton,Missouri company incharge of sending out the information to us. They use their own tracking numbers in their database to track preorder customers and anyone that has sent nissan a postcard for brochures or have submiting for more info on the nissan website.

One problem with your R for August theory - I'm an R with a confirmed September delivery.

Oh the joys of living in Texas and gun ownership. I lived in Euless and Irving for five great years. I understand your comments completely about perceptions of gun owners . It's like an IQ over 100 and owning a gun must be mutually exclusive.

Would love to own a full auto but we are barely hanging on to our semi autos here in Kalifornia! I own three .50's, an M99, Serbu and the infamous AR50. I have a Mini 14 and a Winchester Defender 12 guage. I'm into the WWII stuff now. (I have a C&R FFL). I have every major rifle from that era including seven or eight Enfields, a Mauser 98k, a Japanese type 99 and a Carcano. On the way from the CMP are an M1 Garand and a Springfield 1903. I want an M1 Carbine but we aren't allowed anything over 10 round clips here and the WWII versions come with 15 or 30.

In the past, I've owned every major assault weapon including AR's, AK's, HK's, Thompson's, etc. My last two pride and joys were Colt TE6700's which I sold here two years ago rather than registering.

I'll post some pics too. We should be able to scare just about everyone off the site.

Yes is is good to be in texas...concelled hand guns,
silencers, grenade lauchers, and full autos are legal with a couple documents and a valid company. Now you know why Abyss Inc is incorporated

I got a "S" number also......but I ordered from the same dealership as InternetAbyss so it is probably no surprise by now.

I originally thought they might have been grouping them by colors, for tracking purposes, since that seemed like the logical way to produce the cars.....in batches by color.

doesn't seem to fit what everyone is seeing though now, so who knows.

 

I am an "S" S261442. Ordered 1/12 in SoCal. I wonder what it means, can't be region because Zgirl is in Jersey and I am in California. My dealer said July build, late August/early September delivery. We'll soon find out.

 

Hmm... I proded my dealer for that number - S260987 for what it's worth? :-)

It'd be cool to track the order like next month hehe )
