Japanese cars are best for modding. STI and EVO and domestic V8s are easiest to squeeze power out of, and euro cars are the hardest / most expensive.

Get a car that suits your personality, coz if you are planning to mod, then the stock specifications are going to change anyways.

Get an Audi S4, or you can wait for the RS4 (both with Quattro).

You probably won't need to mod either, but if you want to, there's an aftermarket out there for these cars, too.
