Default Lady Z owner looking for help on moding Z

Hi all-
I'm pretty new to the site and I'm just looking for some good advice on how I should get started off w/ modifying my Z...
I have a 2003 track, and the exhaust system was already upgraded by the previous owner, so I guess I'm just trying to decide where to go w/ it next.... I'm definitely more interested in performance and then eventually I'd like to do some mods that are more just for appearance....
Any advice is great...
Thanks,
Laura B.

if you have an extra $6,000, a turbo will do more than enough. But for $200, the motordyne or aam plenum spacer adds 10+ hp; not too many bolt-ons add that much. I am about to buy a plenum spacer.

Do you know the details to the exhuast? Did the previous owner just upgraded the cat-back, or did he comple the whole exhaust system like the headers and the cats?

If you have the complete exhaust sytem done, I suggest the next step if not the first step is to get an intake. A popcharger is a good choice and then a plenum.

In your other thread you mentioned stero. Here is link to what I did:

http://www.350zfrenzy.com/forum/show...ighlight=stero

Expect to spend around $1600 for a decent system including installation.

PS: first three responses are actually helpful; your ahead of the curve! LOL!

Laura everything in my sig is about 7K installed and tuned. My '03 Touring model has alot more power than it did stock. I don't know how far you are willing to go with it but to get satisfying N/A performance out of the 350Z you want to do a lot of what my Z has. Namely cams, headers and piggyback computer (Unichip). Performance mods for the 350Z is expensive. To go with a turbo system it is more expensive installed and everything but you get a lot more power for the money. Then you don't want to forget about suspention upgrades (handling). The only bottle-neck for me is money, same old story.

Welcome. Read: New 350Z owners, read this before doing any modifications to your Z.

Join ECZA. Come to The 350Z meets, see what others have done and talk to the owners.

Look at members signatures.

Read and you’ll find a lot of information about popular bolt-ons.

I have never told someone to do a search or do that annoying repost crap that people like to do. I find the search and repost ***** stiffle new discussion that new members can join in on.

Which means that I have just acted like a dominant male trying to help a poor little girl. I don't want to do that. Its sexual discrimination. Let me try this:

“What the hell do you think search is for stupid.”

Thanks for being a sport. Anyway consider joining ECZA. Great bunch of guys and girls.

There's also a sister organization called ZChicksZ. These ladies drive 350Zs and are serious enthusiasts.

Are you near Cecil county raceway? I also have an 03' Track, if you want an idea of some good mods look at what I have in my signature, if you copy the mods and drive your car to its potential you will easily be the fastest female NA Z owner
