having problem with my auto tranny
I will go to dealer soon but I like to know any owner of auto Z having a
problem like mine. sorry about my english I have been in usa for a year
please understand me guys.
now about my tranny when I trying to accelate around between 30-35 mph the tranny won't changing the gear right away but the rpm is like almost at
redline and few second later changing it with strange sound.
I do not know may be I gonna need a new tranny but my car is pure stock
I don't do drifting. is there any good idea I can solve this problem instead
going through the dealer. because I can not trust the dealer except perfomance
nissan but I am at orange county too far from my house. I can not get a ride
after droping my car at the dealer.

I dont have an auto but going around 30-35mph its unlikely you have gear for the auto to safely downshift to. so instead its going to ride that gear out til redline before upshifting to the next gear. explain the strange sound you speak of, if the car is fairly new is likely is not used to shifting at such a high rpm and take time for everything to be broken in properly before it shifts clean. Again this is only my experiance with other autos I have a manual Z
Since it's a new Z, you can use your warranty. If service gives you problems, demand that you want the service manger for a test ride and compare it with a new automatic Z. If he still believes that there is nothing wrong with your Z, tell him that you will post on the Z boards not to visit the dealership and move on to the next one.
