I like what another member suggested. Black Chrome. Now, that might be something really special.

I'm going to do it. I love the finish and the way it reflects on everything. With some chrome rims it will look very nice. I'm going to take pictures of the whole process to post. Suggest some nice chrome rims for the Z, prefferably 19's.

Can't wait to see it! That M3 deff. looks badass. You'll be getting some magazine deals for sure with a finish like that. Keep us posted.

why not chrome plate the whole car rather than painting it. this will save you from wax

I like the idea of the chrome or black chome, but don't do the Dodge orange. I saw a orange Mustang GT this morning, it looked like a POS.

I saw a bunch of of pictures of the crome M3. I would do a little more research because It looked like it scratched VERY easy and a few of the pictured were all hazed and looked like crap. Also I think the crome M3 was repainted alot of times to keep it looking good.

I don't think the M3 was painted; it's either chromed or polished. Chrome paint w/ clear coat should be no harder to maintain than any other painted surface. Interested to see the sample shots; hard to believe there's a paint that can look just like chrome.

You may want to do a prototype 1st and see what it actually looks like before doing the whole car.

That chrome looks ILL! If it had a clear coat, it may not look too bad. I'm thinking of those vintage airplanes that were all chrome. The only thing would suck would be hard water stains...

That sounds to me like something Joe Dirt would drive!

Well, I bought the bottle, $150 for it. I'm going to paint a part, a fender or hood, and see what the finish comes out to be like. TE37's are badass!

to me it makes the whole car look to be fabbed from aluminum. likes pretty dam cool. but would have to see it up close for sure cause it looks like on that m3 that it isn't consistent all the way around the car. looks like it may be a bit milky on the sides. think i may need to do a tester also. think of all the engine components and interior parts you can get a real looking chrome finish on, sweet!!
