If you know someone, it should cost like $30-$60 bucks to fix, I am sure they can sand it smooth again. I scuffed one of my racing harts a little on the rear lip, this guy I met says he has a cousin with a shop that does all kinds of rims and could do it for less then $75. My crazy old dad said he had some 3m pads and could sand it out as well.

Back when I had my VR4 I bent a rim to ****, like bad. It cost $150 to get the 2 inch u shape bent round again and the wheel balanced. Your damage should be cheap to get fixed, just go to the right place.

Whenever I just bearly hit a curb I freak out over the smallest scuff. I think I would **** myself if I did that. Sorry to hear about it man.

a) cost you $0 but will still look bad
b) cost you $783 according to Jokestrap
c) cost you $2000+
d) cost you $100+

I say go for option d, it seems the most economical w/out the wheel still looking bad and I wouldn't rush into a new set of 19" w/out driving your car some more and seeing what other kinds of wheels are out there, give yourself some time to do some research.

You can definitely get that wheel repair by wheels of america down in Miami and it will look good as new. I understand your pain on scuff rims, because I've been there and done that on my racing harts. Unlike your rims mines couldn't be repaired, so I did an insurance claim and they cover 500 and I paid the rest for 2 new rims. You'll be lucky to pay for shipping and the repair like under 200 easy.

1) Learn to drive first.

Then...
2) D - Shouldn't be too much to repair? Cheaper than buying a new wheel.
3) C - Look into the Infiniti 19" OEM wheels. Awesome looking and FORGED. Or the New 18/19" Setup on the Zs that are also FORGED.
4) B
5) A - Definitely do not do this. It's a disgrace to your Z... I've never seen curb rash that bad...

yeah, that's a drag, but it's definitely better than say.. fender damage. don't sweat it. try the repair first. if it still bothers you, replace the rim or get a new set.

OUCH... that is some serious curbage dude

Let it be said that my ZR has a curb scuff of the front passenger side (hubby did it, NOT me!!), but its about a quarter as ugly as that. I'll eventually get 4 new rims, so I'm not too worried about it.

Man... it sucks to be you

Sorry to see that. Ignore the high-schoolers who think it's funny.

Curb anohter then you'll have a set of wheels for when you go to the track! Then go buy some new 19"s....j/j

I had the same issue though. I had an iddiot back up into my new 05 when it was 2 months old. The guy wanted me to get it fixed instead of a new rim which was quoted to me (17s) for 400. The guy persisted so I let him try to get it fixed with the assumption that if it was not to snuff I get a new rim. Rim came back and it looked horrid...the color was off to begin with then when they mounted the tire on it, they cracked the bead of paint along the whole thing and gashed it to hell. I got a new rim to say the least. I just don't have much faith in the rim re-finishing now. Best chance would be to go to a junkyard or continue to hit car-part.com daily looking for one.

all 4 of my wheels are curbed. Valet helped me out with it too. I've fixed it the first time but I'm leaving it as it.. you're bound to curb it again. Mine's not bad as yours.. wait a bit and buy from a forum member when they get new ones.. it'll be very cheap. I sold mine for 250 for all 4 with tires.. I should've gotten more, but oh well.

Damn, it happens to the best of us. I had no choice. I was coming around a bend...a huge pick-up truck came across the yellow line and made me corner in sharper than usual. I went in just enough to bounce off the curve. The good thing is I couldn't find it at first when I got out of the car. It was very minor scratch on very tip of the rim, but sounded like I broke the damn thing. Just gotta take it real slow sometimes. I would get 4 new ones when you saved up enough. People will eventually have 06 rims and you will eventually be like, "I need to get some new ones, these are getting old". Keep them until you save up, and buy a new set. Good luck with the decision.
