OK!?

GG!

*Note: Many Zs in the past were 2+2 versions!

This always drives me crazy when I see this. The G35C is a Coupe by definition. C is the designator for Coupe. It is a Sports Coupe however. The 350Z is a two door Sports Car by definition.

The G35C was designed for Sports Touring crowd. The Z was designed for the Sports Car crowd.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a Sports Coupe if you need the 4 seats.
As there is nothing wrong with wanting a Sports Car if you don't need the 4 seats.

If this is a battle between 4 seat Sports Coupes and Sports Car let me give you another reference.

Sport Coupe = Firebird (4 seats)
Sports Car = Vette (2 seats)

This is not to say that a Firebird isn't a good car. It's just not a Sports Car.
At least this is how the insurance company rates them.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it .....

I almost bought a G35C. They are nice cars and perform as well as the 350Z by the numbers. I would not have had any problem calling the G35C a Sports Coupe or Touring Coupe. However, I found that once I drove the Z there was no going back for me. It just seems more like a race car than the G35 did to me. I started out wanting a 5AT G35C and ended up with a 6spd 350Z. It just turned out I wanted the more modern body/interior design that the Z has.
I thought I wanted the conservative Sports Coupe look.....I changed my mind.
I must also mention that I already have a Sports Coupe in the garage.

Now guys ....... Enjoy the ride !!!

BTW - RX8 (4 seats) is classified with the G35C as a Sports Coupe.

Sedan: A closed automobile having two or four doors and a front and rear seat.

It's all semantics really, but a 2 door M3 would be sedan as well as G35c.

Actually, the M3 is considered a Sports Coupe by my insurance company as is the G35C.

When I think of a Sedan I do not really think of a G or a M or even the Firebird however, you are correct .... there have been many two door sedans in history that have turned out to be performance orientated.
IE: '57 Chevy or '67 GTO/Tempest....

I don't think of a M3 as a sedan either, but technically, by definition, it is a sedan.

Whatever you call it though, doesn't really matter.

I don't even think this guy has ever been near a "G", pure luxury? I think or at least hope that you meant to say that it's a sports car that is luxurious because ditching some clowns in a Mustang while drifting by some pigs and sipping on a mocha and listening to clasical music on the sound system was no problem so don't group this car any catagory belonging to that of a soccer mom. If I took your reponse incorrectly I appoligize.

G isn't slower than z that much, as little as nothing. it's a nice car. it should deserve good words from other car owners, especially from Z owner(us).

+1. as I said before you can turn a G into a Z but you can't turn a Z into a G. nuff said. respect goes out to both cars. the difference to me was the back seat. the Z does have that sport ride feel that i loved compared to the G but find a Z suspension and thats delt with, any other mods you can throw on the Z you can throw on the G.
It all winds down to what your personal taste are there is NO better car.

a popular auto magazine once said that the rear taillights styling of the G is not for everybody.......
IMO the Z's taillight design is more timeless and will still look fresh ten years from now if not longer.

The Z looks better, it DOESN'T have a back seat.

Oh, thank God you weren't "knocking the z". I'd hate to see what you do consider "knocking".

Just to state my opinion, they are both nice cars. The Z is just my obsession, I am so biased it's not even funny. I love my Z.

Please find a way to trade in your 350Z. You don't deserve to be driving around in that car.
