Actually Tiff use to be with top gear before moving to his current show, fifth gear. Tiff looks to be the better driver, but Jeremy Clarkson is much more entertaining IMO.

Yeah, tiff is the better driver.

Just wondering, why do you always start a new line in the middle of sentences?

it's better than top gear for me, for most of us, i think. because we like a better driver bring out the cars potential.

Don't feel too bad. Both the launch of the Z and the TT were speed up by the editing. Both cars didn't launch that fast. The reason why the footage was speed up for both launch was because the real show was on the track, not on the launch. The driver did many laps and they took the best laps from each car to compare. The time was measured from a DIG.

Here are some other fifth gear lap times. They always use the same track right? I do wish some of the cars driven by vicki were instead piloted by tiff so we could get a better comparison.

350z: 53.19 seconds
Audi TT sport: 54.84 seconds

Not sure about the fifth gear times, but I wouldn't take the top gear times as absolute. The different "stigs" have taken completely different lines as well as excessively sliding around the track on the timed laps. Also they at times use a wet track and then lump those times in with completely dry lap times. Overall, it's just for entertainment.

Great video! Thanks for posting. That guy was genuinely won over by the Z. I can see how with the way he masters it. He was at such ease yet his exuberance shown brilliantly. I was grinning ear to ear and vicariously living through him. In fact, I think I'll watch it again

You guys dont feel bad. Even though Jeremy Clarkson hates the Z33, he had to present our beautiful machine with the Top Gear Car of the Year Award. Imagine how he felt after bashing on it repeatedly on his show. But the Tiff Needel can drive man. **** he was drifting every corner in the Z! Its quite surprising how the Z beat a 575M, Elise and Englands beloved Noble on the Top Gear track.

yeah he was a formula one driver. There is an old episode where ferrari actually lets them drive a championship winning ferrari around top gears course and puts it up against clarkson in an F40. They just do a little straight away run and its very close.

There is an on going rumor in the UK that Tiff is actually the Stig on Top Gear...

it wasn't as much as he hated it, he just likes to find the faults in the cars and glorify them... He does it on most of the cars they review. Thats what i like about that show, he will take a $250k supercar and ***** about how the windshield wiper vibrates at speed, and how a button is in the "wrong" place but then he will go back and talk good about it as well.

Then you have to watch the show again. He bashed on it so much. He hated the interior, the quality, and the sub behind the driver seat. And also when they did a test with the Z33, TT, and a Crosfire, he was pointing to Richard man you brought this ugly thing again. Face it everyone knows he hates Nissan. He doesn't even like the GT-R. Yeah he can take a $250k supercar and bash on lil things like the windsheild wiper, but he never went to talk about how good the Z33 is even after he hated on it. But he did admit he had the most fun in the car when they did that test of the Z33, TT, and Crossfire.

I dig that Jeremy guy from top gear... He is hilarious. He may hate our Z but with the problems that GT gives him our little "horrid datsun" is the last thing on his mind.. Good vid thanks for the post

Reading the car publications from the U.K., I get the impression that they're far more enamored with the Z than their American counterparts (except for Clarkson who everyone agrees dislikes the Z).

The Z doesn't get as much love here anymore in the car mags, not like it did when it just came out.

I love both shows!!! I saw someone in one of the TG shows wearing a t-shirt that says "I am the Stig"..... I want one of those!

Also, the've had 2 different stigs... the black stig and the white stig... the black stig "committed suicide" in one of the shows.
