Default Special request from a Z widow

My wife, Ellie and I celebrate our third anniversary on July 3rd (karma is a terrible thing). Ellie, who has felt somewhat ignored since Z-mania infected our household, has made a very special request for her anniversary gift. She wants no gifts, no flowers, no cards, no money....none of the usual suspects.

She wants five days (all 24 hours!) of my undivided attention! No Nascar, no IRL, no CART, no sports and, are you all ready, no MY350Z!

The nerve of this woman!

I countered with offers of diamonds, emeralds and silverstone Z's.

She held her ground.

God give me strength.

Here's to you honey:

I was in line right behind you at Blackhawk and saw your very lovely wife. After viewing your post I have some advice:

Unplug your computer.

Compromise on sports, ballgame ok, no auto racing.

Weekend getaway!

A good car is a treasure. A good wife is priceless!! (Twelve years in August!)

ZBarrister handing over the pulpit to HIS lovely wife:

"Ahem....pointfivezero, after 5 years of dating, 12 years of marriage, one two year old, tell your wife she should be ever so grateful for sports, internet, MY350Z, anything to take away your attention. While you are so occupied, she doesn't have to look for _____ (insert underwear, keys, any type of tool and of course, the big piece of chicken).

But since it is "only" your third anniversary, we can still see the hearts popping over your heads in your picture as you kiss. It's very sweet. Ah,young love.

Sincerely, Mrs. ZBarrister

P.S. Love ya tons honey. Now, off to catch the runny nosed kid before he takes Daddy's saws-all to the big piece of chicken.

OK, I'm off the floor now but my sides still hurt.

Thanks for the advice Jman, Mr and Mrs Zbarrister. I think the late John Candy put it best when he said, "like the Z, love the wife." And I do.

And Jay, I am forking over 10 days + the rest of my lucky, blessed life. However, the conditions state: not consecutive and beginning after 7/3.

Mrs. ZB again....

I've got the computer again as Mr. ZB is eating the big piece of chicken and little ZB is glued to Blues Clues...

Not only should you love your wife, but do what she says and always agree with her and everything will work out just fine.

(Mrs ZB has left the room...now for the real secret:
Just nod your head and agree....

You guys need two computers.

I wish we could have met the lovely and underwearless Mrs. ZB at Blackhawk. Where were you hiding?

Um, is there any way you can sneak to the computer when she is sleeping? remember that Seinfeld episode where Jerry got his girlfriend to take sleeping pills so he could play with her toys?

I hope you don't let your wife read these posts or you'll never pull it off though.

rai - my wife, like all non-television women, has a sixth sense when it comes to my activities.

I have yet to successfully deceive her, thank goodness!

I was at Blackhawk with Mrs. ZB's father...he's got a Z on order as well! (Chrome/Enthusiast). The story is he went to the dealer in SLO, which is near where he lives, to order my Z and while he was there ordered one for himself!

She wasn't up for the trip and decided to hang with the little guy. She's not into cars so much, although she digs the Mini Cooper S and we could possibly be getting one of those as well!! She's cool like that!

"ahem"

I am way cool like that....and anyway, it's more fun playing with my "toys" when I'm awake.
