Default Luggage capacity of the Z

Next week one of my sons & I are going for a 3 day camping trip to the north Cali coast. I figured it would be necessary to ship some of the gear via UPS since we're taking The Brick.

Wrong.

Packed it up to see & here is what I could fit in w/o a problem:

- 12 x 12 x 24 duffel
- 2 person tent plus tent stake, etc bag.
- 2 sleeping bags
- 2 cloths duffels
- 2 folding chairs
- two burner stove
- small bbq grill.

A lot more than I thought. Weight capacity will be a little over the 425 lb limit but not by much. Heck, if I go on a crash diet I might even make the limit! LOL.

Wow that's more stuff that I ever put in my Volvo wagon! Seriously though that's ggod to know. Not that I would ever put that muh stuff in the Z, but it is certianly good to know I oculd in a pinch. And just think, I was going crazy over the "hidden compartment" I just found in the rear glovebox by lifting the lower panel out....

Yeah, it does sound like a lot but it fits w/o any crunching or scraping. As for weight I'm 220 and the son is about 170. Luggage is around 70. Thats 460 lbs verses the 425 lbs listed capacity which doesn't strike me as a serious overload.

the cargo space in the Z is quite ample, its weakness is large solid packages, it cant fit them, but if you have lots of smaller stuff(maybe somewhat flexable), it fits quite nicely.
