Its been a year now since i first walked into the dealer and placed my order for the Z and what a year its been !!
Had to fight a little for MSRP, waited for 1st comfirmation letter (what a fiasco). Waited for 2nd confirm (black envelope). Waited, talked about HP, waited, talked about antenna, waited, talked about colors, waited, talked about cup holders, insurance, front liscense plate, CD from Nissan, waited, waited, waited.
HP, 0-60, ect. finally came out. waited. Watched as members of this board went to great lenghts to get pictures of delivery to port and any kind of info they could find. (thanks guys it helped me stand all this WAITING).
The big day arrived 8/31/02. We were having a drought here in N.J. Perfect driving wheather! It rained the day I picked up my car ( its suppose to be good luck) and feels like it has'nt stopped raining or SNOWING since.
Bottom line. I would'nt change a thing. Its been one hell of a year and this is one hell of a car!!!!!!

 

Thanks for the ride. I only joined up in Sept. What a trip for you pioneers!

never did order, but the wait was lots of fun, wouldnt ever want to skip all that. atleast you guys had a positive car coming, I just had to hope and pray I would find one.

My walking-in-to-the-dealer-and-ordering anniversary date is next Tuesday, 1/14. However, I actually made up my mind to get the car when I saw the pre-production model on Nissan's web site on May 14, 2001.
