Man, do I feel good!

Just got home from seeing Dan (bluefish) at Smithtown Nissan. Not only did I get my first test drive today, my order has finally been placed. I was dead set on ordering a Daytona Blue Performance, but after testing driving a Redline (my second choice) Track, I knew that was the color for me. Rolling past the reflective glass windows at Smithtown Nissan and seeing the reflection of the car in the window was all it took....REDLINE!

So, now the official wait begins......I'm so excited!

Your wait just begins, mine is almost over!!!!

I ordered mine from Dan in October. It was supposed to be here in February, but NNA told me a few weeks ago it wouldn't be until April. Although I was a little disapointed, I figured I had waited this long, I could wait longer.

But then I got an e-mail and message from Dan Thursday saying that the car was here!!. When I called him, he explained that NNA had alerted him 1 1/2 weeks ago that my delivery date had been extended. So on his own, he decided that was not cool to do to me so he tracked down a car that matched my order. Now I'm getting a LeMans Sunset Performance, so I know there aren't too many of them out there that matched my specs. But the car Dan found matched everything except it had splash guards. Dan is throwing those in for free for me.

It's finally happening!! All the loan stuff was worked out this morning and I paid my downpayment by CC. I have taken care of the insurance and that has already been faxed to Smithtown. The loan docs are being fedexed to me on Tuesday, and I'll have a definite delivery date by Wednesday. I'm having them take care of getting my aftermarket leather done, so the car won't be ready to ship until sometime mid week. But then....

Redline is a beautiful color, currently my first choice. How much deposite did you put down? refundable?(in case you find the same exact car before your order arrives)
Have you considered the aftermarket leather?
So how did you like the test drive on that track model? Is it what you expected?
Congrat on your Z, by spring when all snow goes away, the Z should arrive.

Thanks for the welcome, and BTW, I saw your car today. Actually, I pulled up right behind it as I was coming back in the Track from the test drive....you're gonna LOVE it!

 

$500 refundable deposit.

I'm not a fan of leather, so aftermarket leather has never crossed my mind.

The test drive was great.....abbreviated, but still fun nonetheless. I'll definitely be enjoying my car to the fullest when it gets here.

My birthday is April 24th, so I'm hoping to have a very nice present around that time!

Smithtown Nissan is definately the dealership of choice on Long Island. My family has owned car from them for 12 years.
Hopefully another come April when i have enough money to put down on my Z.
I'll probabaly go with the Blue Performance like you orginally were going to but I havent seen all the colors in person yet.
What options did you get and how much did you end up paying?

The only options I ended up getting on the car were the front and rear mats. I'm going to order the splash guards (front only) from courtesyparts.com before the car gets here. I didn't want the rears, nor did I want holes left behind from removing them, so I didn't order them with the car.

Out the door after tax and all the other fees it was a little over $33K.
