Default Who's are you insured with and what are your rates?

Right now I have Progressive and pay $666 every 6 months(only because I'm on a family plan) plus an additional $220 every 6 months to have $6000 worth of parts insured. To note I am a 22 year old male. Once I move to texas I won't be with my families insurance plan anymore so I'll have to get my own. But I heard great deals from State Farm.

I pay $3500 a year for insurance. Put down almost $1200, so the payments starting next month are roughly $250. I have METLIFE!! Don't ever get MetLife, worse insurance of all time.

I work for a insurance company (not sure if i am allowed to say who i work for in this forum) and the best thing to do is shop around. In NY the rates are determined by several different factors. One major factor is your zip code, another is the miles you drive. Others include sex, age, marital status, and employment. in my experience I've had many customer in zip codes that had great rates and others where we couldnt touch the price. Price shouldnt be the only issue, its important that you are comfortable with your agent/broker. alot of times ive seen people who own houses and only have state minimum coverages. if you end up comparing prices, compare apples to apples or coverage to coverage. Make sure your agent/broker takes time to go over the coverages. Each state and insurance company has its own specific laws, requirements and tiering systems. I hope I helped. good luck

Seeing what other people pay is virtually useless. Rates vary greatly by where you live, your age and driving record. When you get to TX, call around.

That's insane. I'd pass out if they quoted me that much. I pay $95 a month for my 06 GT coupe with $100 deductable and I'm 25.

Different people who live in different places pay different rates for auto insurance. Its a theory of mine.
