Default Too good to be truth??

Hi,

Since I joined this forum I feel that I want a 350z more!.A friend of a friend is selling a 05 z with 2500 miles for $23500. They say that the car is brand new. Is hard for me to beleive that someone would sell a car so soon and take such a loss. If I decide to buy it, what do you sugest I do? You think I can take to the Nissan Dealer to have the car checked out? the second thing is that the car is White!!!! I never saw myself driving a white car. Do you think is worth it saving some money to drive a car that is not the color that you think you want. What do you guys think about the white z????????

don't get it checked out at a nissan dealership. Get it done by a shop that you know and trust. Have them look for body work having been done. Ask why they are getting rid of the car. My 04 has 4000 miles on it, i don't drive much, I work off the train line. What model of z is it? Touring? Base? Find that out. Paint can always be changed, if you get a 1k paint job but saved 2k on the price then you still make out. The white might grow on you. I bet the car was either wrecked, they can't afford it or can't afford the insurance. Lots of people buy car they cannot afford, that is how you see barely used cars at dealerships, I saw the new mustang seriously less than 1 month after it came out, used at my local nissan place.

The only thing that matters is whether or not you'll be happy with it. Besides, no one is going to be pointing at you and laughing that you are driving a white car when that car is a Z. If you really don't like white then don't buy it. It would suck regretting your purchase while making payments every month on it(even though it is a great deal). Keep lookin' and get what you REALLY want. I think most white cars look like refrigerators, the Z just looks like they forgot to paint it...please don't flame me, it's just an opinion fellow white Z owners.

well if they were to trade it in im sure with nissans "great" depreciation he or she wont even get that much so i think its reasonable for them to sell it at that price

White is the worst color It gets dirty too quick, hard to keep looking clean, etc. I would definitely stay away from it!!! Plus, it will make mine stand out more if you get another color . I almost ran into the same issue as you with color choice and I am glad I waited it out and got the color I wanted (PPW). I know I wouldn't have been as happy if I would have settled for another color. Unless you plan on getting it painted or can live with the white (which is a terrible color), I would remain patient.

I walked into the dealer to get a blue Z. I walked out with a white one, damn does that paint look good in the sun

The value of the car according to kbb.com (for my zipcode) on a 2005 base model with 2500 miles is $19,800 for trade-in and $23,455 for private party so no its not a great deal. Check your zipcode pricing (not sure how much it varies), and offer them something between the trade-in and private party price.

The car is not NEW, but USED. Generally, and vehicle that has been titled is USED. Nissan or any trusted mechanic can check the car. If you have the cash to buy the car, fine. If you have to borrow money, you may find that the lender is not willing to give you $23,500.

Just steering him away from white... I don't really believe that
I love the way certain white cars look when they are clean. I don't believe all white cars look nice but the Z definitely wears it well.

05 Z are great.. no problem what so ever.. base model is fine if you dont drive it in the snow.. you can even get an aftermarket HID which is much better than our crappy lighting..

as for the color.. i was going to get PPW but walked out with S. Black.. i love my SB Z.. its a pain washing it every week or two.. but MAN!!! when it is clean.. you'll love it

If the Zzz is anything other than a Base model it sounds like a good deal to me..........assuming a mechanic checks it out as okay.

I think the Z looks great in white but its your $$$$.
