Default Can anyone tell me about warranty?

Hey everyone. It has come down to the final stages of me purchasing a 2004 Enthusiast Z with 15k miles. I did as much research as I could, but now it comes down to warranty issues.

So here are my questions and I would be forever greatful if anyone can give me info on this, (links maybe).

3 yr 36k miles on everything besides the engine/tranny
5yr 60k miles on powertrain
5 yrs unlimited on rust

I appologize I dont know alot about warranties. I have checked the nissan site but people tell me warranties change alot (or some bs.) and i think i read somewhere the Nissan extended some warranty for the 2004+ models.

This is why I have come here to ask becuase I know all of you know your stuff and was hoping you could enlighten me.

Thanks!

You are correct. There is additional warranty information for emission systems, but you have it right.

warr is something the man. will cover if it breaks within that period of the warr. that's considered defective, and not through wear and tear....

Just remember, your warranty starts on the In Service date of the vehicle, not when you bought it. Your 04 Z probably has in service date of around the end of 03, so you have less than a year left on your 3 yr warranty and 4yrs left on powertrain.
