Default That black thing in the "cup holder"

You know the rear cup holder (not one next to radio) that is suposed to hold 2 cups? There is a black thing that you can put down so it can keep the cups in one place. So i've been wondering this for a while, can you lock it into position? As of right now, when I put a drink in there, it won't go all the way down, so when I turn to the left or right, it just slides around in there.

I was in a Murano the other day, and it was the esact same thing!

that spring loaded thing is supposed to hold cups in place but it doesn't work on larger one, go put a coke can in there the flip thing will pop all the way up and surounds the can really well...

yup yup...and TACO BELL CUPs doesnt work that well too..those huge aZz ones!! but any sobe,can,40 oz, fits perfect!

That thing is about as useful as **** on a bull, but I have found that it holds a 20 oz cup quite snuckly if you lift on it after you drop the cup in.

It works great when you put in 2 drinks. I love to see the looks on the drive-thru worker's face I decline the 'drink carrier' when picking up lunch for the office! I have also found that if you only have one drink, put a wallet or my SideKick in the other slot and will help from tipping over.

If I use Nissan cup holders as my only reference I would surmise that the only size drinks they sell in Japan are those thin red bull size ones.
