Awesome man! I saw it when I got the magazine yesterday and I thought to myself..."Damn, I should have stayed Sunday for the Time Attack" lol. Thats sweet though. My goal for 2006 is to get my Z in a magazine one way or another. Good luck on getting sponsorships and I will see you at the next Time Attack! This time I will be competing though, but I will be in the Unlimited class with all of the rediculous factory sponsored cars .

I know how you feel about competing with slim chances for success. But you're a good driver, and sometimes those high-strung project cars can break. You never know... that's why we race.

I found out that the RX-7 that beat me has an M2 Performance Stage 3 kit. That gives him 300+whp!!! Plus his car is 500 pounds less weight. My measley 260whp and 500 pound weight penalty meant I had little chance of winning. I don't feel so bad about being 2.5 seconds slower now out of almost 3 minutes. I will be dropping about 60+ pounds for the next event and adding (hopefully) about 40hp (but that is still FAR away from the power to weight ratio that I need to be competitive against that car). We'll see... driver ability can go a long way. I also expect a LOT more competitors since this next event is so close to LA and now the word is out. At least maybe we can share some information about the track to try to help ourselves at the next event. Go Team 350Z!!!

The unlimited class is very fast and hopefully I won't be the only car out there without any major sponsors and/or a pro driver so I will have a better chance . I also hope to get some good coverage out of it because I will be in the "pro" class so to speak. We shall see. Its all in good fun. Honestly though, I am hoping to suprise a lot of people with my car so hopefully it ends up being as fast as I am predicting.

Your in CA... why don't you bring your car and compete in the next time attack?! Put it on the track and make all those mods count for something! You'll have a much better chance of getting coverage if you attend an event where people (and the press) can see your car!
