03 Z holding up well after 76k miles
For those people that are beyond 36k and no extended warranty like me, the dealer will charge you to fix the window rolling up then half way down. THey claimed that it had to be readjusted and it was only covered until 36k miles. $140 out of my pocket, a reduced rate at that.
I have about 45k and my rear suspension squeaks. Hopefully covered under insurance.

My preorder 03 has had two grease streaks and a ratty left front speaker .That's it ! With the new windshield ( from a thrown rock , covered fully here in NH by insurance ) , it now looks like brand new . Well , a few lower front chips here and there . Good thing I never listened to all the screamers out there as to the 03's problems . Got a great performing low number Z and all the free goodies ( maybe even collectible some day ) from Nissan that we preorder Z owners received . My advice : Don't believe everything you hear on this site .

the window streaks on my 03 was fixed within a couple of months after delivery. 7K miles later the front tires were replaced under warranty and no more tire roaring problem since. Now at 18K miles... both power window regulators replaced under warranty.

I just got my mitts on some 04 oem shocks which I heard are better than the 03 shopping cart feel every bump till the doors fall off bumpy ride of the early Z models. Anyone know of this upgraded shocks on the 04 and up models. I should get some 06 shocks and see if it was improved. Those of you with the newer Z models have you had the unpleasure of a 03 stock suspension....

just went over 50K in my 03' touring... The Khumo's (i know, i know there not that great of a tire) that are on the front have been really good, no feathering or noise. My tranny doesn't grind but it is really cranky in the morning, once its up to temp no problems. BOSE problems were fixed by alpine
, and my driver seat is showing some wear on the bolster from getting in and out. This is the only car I've ever owned where I smile and think how much i love the car every time i drive it, the feeling didn't wear off after a month or so like usual. The rear hatch won't release on the first time when its cold out and the passenger window is slowing down, but going to get them fixed under extended warranty...
mines an 03 with 31k miles.. i jsut got it so i havnt noticed to much, though i just noticed the greese on the windows a few days ago.. but thats no big deal.. the hatch doesnt pop on the first try but im used to that cause my last car did the same thing because of a heavy wing.. the remote doest work unless im right by the car.. but none of that bothers me enough that i worry about it.. i still have about 6 months of warrenty left so i might take it by the dealor one of these days and see if they will do anything about any of it...
Man that's a lot of miles. I'm only at 24k.
I had my transmission swapped at 17k due to grinding in 5th gear. And I foolishly had them degrease the windows but they only did the driver's side so it's a bit slower than the passenger side and it still has some grease!
Also I finally just got a door ding and it was my own fault.

Congrats Ed. I'm sure you enjoyed every moment of putting on all those miles
Agree.
