The clutch on my 03 350Z died and i ordered a JWT disk/plate. The stuff arrived and the dealer started installing it this morning. I just got a call from them saying that the flywheel looks bad. Apparently, it has a lot of hot spots and some grooves. They're saying that it'll be driveable, but i may get some vibrations, etc. They're also saying that according to Nissan, 350Z flywheels are non-machinable and cannot be resurfaced. Is this BS? A flywheel would cost me $600+ What do i do? Tell them to resurface? Buy a new one? Forget about it? Can it be resurfaced??
