Its been awhile since a post on this according to the search. Any new data on if the Nissan 350Z have an event data recorder in it? This device could be use by law enforcement for many things in the event of an accident or even a speeding ticket if they wanted to. In California they must get your approval to use it though from what I understand.

I don't know about other year models, but the 2006 owners manual says it does have one. It also talks about what it records and how law enforcement can use it.
Still worth it but you have to watch how you drive.
