Comparing your post with the previous poster, it's obvious that it's all personal preference (especially true when it comes to something as subjective as "looks"). Some folks like the new headlights/tails, some don't, to each his/her own.

As for racing an '06 versus a 35th, I think any difference will be hugely dependent upon the talent of each respective driver, regardless of transmission type, engine type, and the weight penalty of the '06s.

You know, I was able to get mine without Navi. Did I get a deficient 35th?!?

I must admit that I broke down and took it through the automatic wash Sunday but I PROMISE I won't again. If you see me at my local Splash, just take the keys, regsitration and title away from me.

yeah, Splash is the worst. They don't care how they drive the cars onto the guide rails, and then when they damage something, they claim no responsibility for it. The rims are the most susceptible to damage and they cost $730 each. If there is a warm day you are welcome to bring it to my house, and wash it there...providing you do mine also. ha! I just had to say that.

Jason, navi was not standard in the 35th. My SB with Black \ Tan did not have navi. Neither does my 06 GTR.

My jaw dropped when you said Splash is the worst. If I don't take you up on your offer you will find me at Connecticut Car Care in Milford behind the Acura dealer washing it myself, rain, sleet or snow

Oh, he is just being modist.

Ok, here is my story:

My son introduced me to the Z a few years ago. He said that he wanted to buy one. He owns a Maxima and is "now" thinking about the Lotus Elise. I hope his thoughts don't wear off on me again, LOL. It is a little toooo wild for my tastes. After my son got me thinking, I began to be drawn towards the Z's. I saw a Burgandy '03 in the Nissan dealer lot and stopped in to test drive it...I did (wasn't able to get it past second gear, but I loved it). The color matched my sunglasses. Being a procrastinator...I waited it out until the urge became absolutely unbearable. I drove into the Dealer lot and saw 3 Z's; a yellow roadster with red mismo striping, a silverstone touring model, and a black expensive one that looked like a gorgeous Italian playboy should be in the driver's seat. I couldn't even look at it, it was so flashy. Don't even ask why I chose it out of the three...knowing me though, it was because it cost the most. I swear, still to this day I won't gaze upon it for too long...thinking that I might fall in love.

I must say to Mr. Osix350Z, whether or not he wants to hear these things...beauty "is" in the eye of the beholder. To me, that 3225 LB. bucket of bolts is the most gorgeous car I have ever owned, and I have had some beauties. To my tastes it is perfect, and if that isn't pride in ownership, then apparently, I have no idea what that means. I personally feel very proud owning it, and what made it the 35th. It will be a long time before I will change anything about it. When the 35th first wore those rims, they were a fresh new style. For the 35th, that hasn't changed. Anyone can order those wheels and all the parts to make their Z appear like a 35th. Anyone can buy the '06 parts to make their Z appear like an '06. I prefer to enjoy the real thing.

Mr. Osix350Z, no hard feelings really. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of your new car.

June

I thoguth it was... I guess its just an option...

There are only a few models that navi is an option on...

in 2005.. It was the most luxurious and performance advanced from the other models...

I have an 05 with navi, touring model, but it wasn't specially ordered or anything. I just happened to go to the dealer a few weeks ago and find a Z that I wanted right on the lot with everything on my wish list including the color and only 80 miles on it. Can't beat that with a stick

What do you all think of that new maroon, purplish color that came out for 06?? I haven't seen it in person but in the brochure it does no justice for such a beautiful car.

If I remember correctly, NAVI was only available on Touring and 35th...

Not Base, Enthu, Performance, Track for 2005...

I THINK...
