Arrow Questions about delivery date and lack of order number

I read a bunch of treads/posts about dealers being able to order on the 7th of the month and what not.. I ordered my DB Enthu loaded Z on Dec. 14th... Now I was given a eta of 75-90 days for delivery.. Now this sounds accurate if the above is true on ordering.. Jan will be build month, feb will be delivery month and will be delivered late Feb-early march (75-90 days). I ordered mine from Kelly Nissan of Lynnfield,MA- a large dealership that got this award:

They always have like 5-8 in stock (all highline models with colors I don't want).. When I ordered it the dealer was acting like it wasn't a big deal just another day another order and was 100% confident in the 75-90 day estimation..

Now here's where I get a bit worried? Since the order (today is the 30 day anniversary) I have not heard anythng from the saleguy, no order number or anything.. So I called about a week ago and I wanted to make sure everything was in order, I used the reason "I don't want the dealer logo thing on the car" so he wouldn't think I was calling cuz I didn't think he did his job.. Now should I be worried I got no order number? Do you think my above time is accurate assuming the knowledge I gained from this board?

I am just kinda nervous cuz and going to request the 3rd week off in March so I can spend time with the car and break it in properly, but I don't want to spend the week sitting on my thunb wondering where my car is..

I'd tell him that you're following an internet forum about the Z and other people get an Order Number when the car is actually ordered. The order number will be a letter followed by 6 numbers. He should have a report that shows your order number if he actually placed the order with Nissan during the first week of January. If, however, you were merely placed on an "order list", he may have entered orders for people ahead of you and your order hasn't actually been placed with Nissan yet.

Ask him if your order has actually been placed with Nissan yet. If so, and this is the #1 Nissan dealer, he would know what an order number is..............

Good luck!

They probably didn't order your car till like January 6th or 7th. So you will have a February build month and probably an eta of April. So I wouldn't take a week off in March, probably late April. I ordered my car November 30th and it went in on December 6th. My build month in January and eta is March. I have gotten an order number.

Eh? April? I will shoot myself by then.. He was 100% confident with his 75-90 day delivery time, that would be at the earliest the last few days of feb to the end of the 2nd week in March..

I am going to call my salesguy after lunch today and see what he has to say.. I am gonna ask him for my order number and ask what the date was it was ordered on. Back when I ordered it he said he will fax the order over that day.. He made it sound so easy..

I will post update
