You are fine.....you should break the car in the same way you plan on driving it for the life of the car. Break it in hard.

ah, then try to keep it under 4k rpm until 1200 miles and vary your speed and rpm alot within that (according to your manual). After 120 miles, work it up to redline and have fun!
There are different schools of thought on braek-in; do a search for more info.

The VQ cuts the air, timing, fuel, hell everything when you hit the rev limiter so that everything stays happy and safe. It's not like the old days.

I just finshed breaking mine in, I only went over 4k around 4 times and that was by accident (5k one time and the others 4300 - 4700 RPMs). I think your ok.
