Help Wheel Question...
Ok its time for new rims the oem 18's just dont cut it... I was thinking about going with 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 that is pretty much standard but it seems as though i can get 20's (not chrome) for the same price if not a little cheaper?? The question is how will the weight and size of the wheel effect my handling? The oem 245/45/18 brigstones cant hold through a corner to save their life!! I was thinking a slightly heavier and wider wheel would do me alot of good. Is that really the case? So far I dont have too many mods to increase performance just a few bolt-ons... And for a couple yrs til its paid off i dont see forced-induction entering the picture. So far i just have a stillen intake, plenum spacer and exhaust on the way. I am planning to add headders, race-pipe and pulley set and probly an ECU-reflash. By adding big 20" rims am i going to feel the extra weight? Give me your advice and personal experiances please...
There are several disadvantages to larger and more heavy wheels, but no one cares. People have a way of finding answers that they are looking for.
