Default dripping sound after i shut of the car

guys,

I have a 05 touring convertible. When i bought it last sepetmeber after i switched of the car there was this dripping sound. After i switch of the car, it seems like there is something liquid falling on a metal part. But when i look down there seems to be no oil on the ground. I was told that it from the exaust. Now the sound has increased in intensity. Could someone clarify from where the sound is coming and if i should get something checked out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Its the oil dripping back into the oil pan. I wouldn't worry about it.

Is it all the time or in rainy weather only? Mine does that after wet weather wehn water hits the brakes it steems and hisses. It's normal. Eveytime I park my Z it makes a few clicking sounds but I have had two 350's and they both do it. I wouldn't worry about it.

Man, is this your 1st car? That's only the oil falling back into the oil pan. That is normal. Don't fret.

is it raining out when you hear this noise?

J/K, it is just the oil, no worries.

Me and a friend were driving next to eachother and we noticed that it was making this noise while driving. Is that normal while driving? I know it's normal once parked.

the sound comes even when i am driving. So if i stop and the car is still running it makes that sound. Also the sound is coming from somewhere near the seat and not the engine area. Any more idea's guys
