Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for telling me to go to the dealer today. I just got back from the HB Nissan and they checked out my radiator. They said everything is fine. 350's uses dry coolant and its okay if theres a lil left over stuff around the cap area. The 350z coolant is supposed to be a lil darker too, so its completely normal. There is no corrosion (sp?) and theres nothing wrong with the radiator. Im glad i didnt listen to that guy at EZLube. Otherwised he would have ripped me off! he said it was 154.00 for oil change and fixing that corroded coolant. I hate money hungry ppl! Anyway, thanks again!

by the way, its that EZlube on Crenshaw/ Carson. The guys there before were cool. Now theyre diff workers. I went to the one in HB before (gothard and edinger?) but they kept reving my car and driving around EZlube. It was so annoying and unprofessional. Now, i have to find another EZlube!

Aluminum will corrode, but it winds up chalky, not rusty red.

Also, coolant is green, and gets crusty around your overflow reservoir, that's probably what he was pointing out.

Tell the guy at easy lube to shove a case of 10w40 up where the sun dont shine. They are trying to jipp you because your a women. If you see any green stuff around the cap, it may have been lose, I would tighten the cap, and clean the surrounding area. Check it again in a week and if there is something leaking take it to the dealer, if not dont waste your time. Also check your radiator fluid and if its low add some coolant/antifreeze mixed with distilled water. These motors are great, the cooling system is great and if your under 50k miles I dont think you have any sort of coolant leak, but always look at your temp. guage in the vehicle. Good luck!

I'd suggest finding a better local shop to get oil changes. Look for a local auto repair shop instead of an oil change place. The mechanics will be more competent.

Females in these car forums don't usually return to thank you for the info they just take it and go, which brings me to my next subject. If she was a female she would abide to the TOS and show pics. JK. I just wanted to post in this thread to emphasize how many posts you can achieve in under a day just by putting "I'm a girl" in the thread subject. Peace.

Before with my other cars, when I was lazy and didnt want to do my own oil change, I just went to this tuner shop on abalone and carson, Signal Auto. They do general maintenance as well as tuner work and I never really had any problems with them with my oil changes on my Supra and MR2. Yes, its not as simplistic as a ezlube, but its an option if you are trying to keep in the same area of Torrance.

Good luck either way

What year was your supra and mr2? Turbos? I had both those vehicles, and both of them have awesome motors stock out of the factory.

Very nice job Is that a t78 or t88 in the supra? What did you dyno? Honestly, I dont think they will ever build em like toyota built them. The mr2 and supra were brothers, one was the smaller and the other was the bigger. The mr2 had sick handling and launching abilities and the supra had one sick hunger for hp. I love seeing fellow supra owners on here, were you on the supraforums also?
