I really wish just b/c one stupid kid wrecks a Z you guys wouldn't generalize it to all kids with Z's shouldn't have them or they are too young to have one. I have had my Z since I was 19 (21 now) and I have always driven safely. Yes there is the occasional screwing around but I'm reasonable. Please don't place a stereotype on all young people with Z's just b/c of a couple stupid people.

Also I do recall just as many older people being dumb and trying to drift or what have you wrecking and it's no one's fault but their own since they couldn't handle the Z driving it that way. That doesn't mean I say all older people should have Z b/c they can't drive them.

man i can think of sooo many kids who should not even drive at all that have high end cars... they do the dumbest stuff and if kept up will eventually die cuz of it. There is only about 10% of kids 19 and under who can drive fairly well, and even more rare is if they can race well without being an idiot.

Doesnt make any ****ing sense!!! you could say the same thing if a 30 year old leaves a bar after drinking and gets into an accident....ANYONE WITH A Z THAT DOESNT ****ING PAY ATTENTION DO NOT MIX!!!

IT not hard to figer out that he washed it him self at a car wash. NOT A AUTOMATIC one. he dried himself, put the TOP DOWn pulled out of the car wash and a car was going way too fast and smash him ugly.

It was not me i saw this car at the dealer in San Antonio, the salesmen took me back to the body shop to check it out. the kid is fine but he had to have knee surgury.

Plus i have been a wreck just like it but i was in a Celica and i was the passenger. we pulled out into an intersection and my friend wasnt looking and a truck smashed into my side like at 55-65 MPH. the whole door came in just like the pics of the Z and i was perfectly fine, the only thing that happened to me was i got a few scratches on my neck from the door. Plus it wasnt even my friends car, it was his chics hahhaaaa double trouble.

I had a BLACK Datsun 280Z when I was stationed in Panama. The locals could make that car shine like there was no tomorrow. A wash and hand wax cost me about $8 (1981 dollars). I loved Panama, but it was getting a little tenious toward the end of my tour. about a year after I left, Operation "Just Cause" kicked off.

Sorry , you can have the thread back now.

Good thing it was a convertible so you could still get out easily. I have a coupe, but this is making think about getting a H3 for protection.

That can happen to anybody. NOT just kids! Be careful out there ya'll and don't hate. I hope everyone involved is A'okay. Maybe the kid jumped out of the car just before impact...that would have been sweet.

Yeah, waxing today would be an extra. Still, prices are probably lower now than when the US Military was here, "spoiling" the locals. You should come visit Panama. JK is mostly forgotten to the extend that "Gringos" are more welcome than ever. Panama has changed a lot, the Causeway is now a tourist paradise with restaurants, terasses, a marina and even discos. Casco Viejo is being restaured and much much more.

When I saw the car is owned by a mom, my immediate thought was automatic. One thing I like about the S2K is that it only comes in 6sp manual, and hardly see any ladies drive it. I see more Zs wrecked than S2Ks, and I think having automatics has something to do with it.

I use to live in Thailand and I could get a wax and then a blow job for under 20 bucks, oh wait, you guys are talking about car washes. Sorry disregard my previous comment.

no way he made it out okay. my friend at a 4 way stop got hit and her door didn't even look bad yet she came out with a broken neck. the guy is just stupid. he must of not paid attention to the million times they say check your left, center and right before you turn a corner. he probably didn't even stop to check.

Yep, it's an AT (3th pic)

But.... Are you saying that ladies only drive ATs and those are the ones that crash their Zs ??? Not nice

I think the weight of the Z and maybe the VDC are far more greater culprits. And I don't like the standard (non-Brembo) brakes one bit. Also, how many Zs have been sold in comparison to S2000s ?

Hmmm... maybe it happened like this: coming out of a wet car wash so wheels and maybe street wet. Sees the car coming but thinks "hell this fast car is gone before that ones even gets close". So he floors the Z. VDC kicks in and kills alll the power, leaves the Z a sitting duck for the oncoming car...
