Just because it has a turbonetics turbo in it, doesn't make it the true "turbonetics kit". It could have different piping, intercooler, ecu, etc. Way to be an condenscending *** though.

I am only going to say this one more time because you are starting to annoy me. On the top of the page for the link YOU posted. It says real big 350Z Turbonetics Single Turbo Kit. The first line of the description says (and I am quoting) "Turbonetics' Nissan 350Z turbo system is the first and only production single turbo system available." That is obviously also very old as is the pricing for the kit because the prices all went up and there is an APS single turbo kit available now as well.

EDIT I read the entire description. Those people are morons. They write that the T-netics kit outperforms all other turbo kits on the market. The price is also for the tuner kit that doesn't include a fuel system or EMS.

It really has nothing to do with boost. It's more about power. I just figured boost would be the easiest way to get the Z to the 400-450 mark.

Check the flow capacity for your turbo and figure what you actually flow and see how much room is left. I am not going to lie and say I have done all the research and although the turbo may not melt itself flowing up to 20psi on the 350zs, it isn't exactly in its optimal working range either. That turbo may infact be able to flow 30psi on a 350z but that doesn't make it a good idea because that air will eventually be so hot the its efficiency went right out the window. All I am talking about is the turbo working in its optimal range, not the absolute peak hp that can be made with an infinite amount of money and research. If I am indeed wrong, which I don't believe I am, I won't freak out like you do every time someone is .000000000000000000000000001% wrong. The turbo itself may infact never max out but the kit is indeed maxed out at near 400rwhp. You'll need to upgrade a lot more before you can hit those numbers.
That turbo is supposed to flow to 500whp.. they posted benchmarks on the FI section a month ago for the turbo.

Actually a subbie wasn't even in the list of cars I've considered.

Audi TT
350Z
EVO 8 or 9
Charger SRT-8
GTO

Just trying to find which one would fit me the best.

You do mean "LeanPocket", because if this guy is all about racing... he'll want to save all the weight he can. That includes loosing some of his belly weight.

Thank you very much for the info sir. So my first post was actually correct then. Should I wait for an apology or should I just hold my breath?

Honestly don't get a Z. You will be the minority group of people who will never be happy if cheap hp is what you want. Assuming your title "hard" which means expensive. Get a GTO and mod it cheap. There's a few people here that did.

Call me an idiot, but I almost traded my Z for a GTO. I wanted the 4 seats and I wanted the 400hp. Not to sure where your getting this info though on modding is cheap for the GTO. I played on the GTO forums for a while. A decent set of long tube headers were 1100$, exhaust was 700-1200$. A Magnuson Super charger was 6500$. Sounds about like the Z;s mods if not pricier. BEN

Look at the gains you get. Headers add at least 20 hp on an LS1 while you get less than 10 on a VQ. Same with exhaust. A cam on a pushrod engine can yield 35-75 hp. I certainly would not put a cam on a VQ which is about 10 hp plus 1k to tear down the engine.

Yea, the LS2 mods are not cheap yet but they are very effective. The LS1 mods are getting really cheap now if you want cheap power. I think the biggest advantage of those cars is how they respond to mods. On the Z, nothing short of FI will give decent power. In the end, if you want big hp, it'll cost you no matter which route you go.

The 400hp GTOs have LS2 motors not LS1s. The older model with 3XXhp has the LS1.

Woops. I usually refer to it as LSX.

That plus intake and you will be at 450 easily. Total cost with installation about 2500.

yep, and to get even more technical, thats only crank hp. The 400hp 05 and up GTO is putting down 340-350 rwhp. With a tune, headers, exhaust, cam you can put down 420-440 rwhp with the manaula transmission. Not a bad jump with NA bolt ons.
