Default Problems with shifter

I have a Rogue Engineering short shifter and for some reason its hard to shift back into first gear. Is this normal. I have to kind of pop it in. I have to do it with the other gears also but 1st is the biggest Biatch. I just bought the car with it already installed so I dont know how the stock one feels but I'm sure it shouldnt be this hard. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check the thread titled mods that I regret. One of the most common complaints is the short shifter - all brands. Seems that shortening the throw has adverse effects on operation.

I guess I'll throw the stock one back on to see how it feels.
