After hearing of the CD and DVD you received, I feel the pre-order population got ripped. I would have thought that Nissan would want all pre-order folks to have media highlighting the Z's history, why on earth would only press kits contain this.
Kinda of steamed here.

Finally the enigmatic golf club dilemma has been answered.!!
That was the most pressing issue of the day. Now if we can get some better idea about the cupholder I would be in Nirvana!!

I am sure the stats that came in the press pack were the same as the CD. Even if the stats changed somehow before production begins I am sure the press packs and the CD's were made about the same time.

It arrived via fed ex this morning and the package contained a booklet with a cd that contains press info, stats and a ton og high res photos. When I say high res, I am talking 3000 X 3000 pixel area. Big clear stuff. The high res photos though are of Redline, Daytona Blue and LeMans. There are three other photos of Silverstone, Black and Chrome but these three had been seen before. Of the photos of Redline, Daytona and LeMans, I'd say 30% had not been previously released. Maybe 40%?
There was also a "Nissan 350Z CD Pack" that contains 3 discs. One is a 350Z game, one is 350Z music and the third is a 350Z DVD that contains some truly kick *** footage. I am going to rip the dvd and then compress it and downsize it etc... but this will take some time so give me a day or two on the dvd stuff. Especially with it being close to the 4th of July.... it's a busy week for sure.
The DVD features most of the old Z commercials, from 1969 through to 1996. Footage of the final Z rolling off the plant floors in Japan in 96, footage of all the Z car race wins that were major as well. Behind the scenes footage on the creation of the 350Z, including an interview with Ajay Panchal, the main guy behind the new redesign. An interview with Jed Connelly, Senior Vice President of NNA.
(see attached image of the menu for the dvd... it was a fast grab but don't worry, the video I encode will be clear)
I'll also attach some of the photos below this that I hadn't seen before... for those of you on dial up, I'm sorry.
I'll have all of this and more online today/tonight sometime.
for now, to sort of hold you over... here are the extra photos...

Does the Z have a color that it DOESN'T look awesome in?
As a rule, I don't buy your basic red car, but, wow!, the Z looks fantastic in Red.

The red does look smooth and sexy... that's why a chick should be behind the wheel of a red Z! C'mon guys, whatever you do, none of you will look as sexy as a CA beach girl in a red Z. You may be the most handsome bastard out there... it's still a chick color, so sorry to offend the doods wantin the red!
