The 03 and 04's are very similar and both contain very similar sets of problems... It seems to me that by 05 the problems were all fixed. If I was you the question would be buy an 03.... Or save more money and buy an 05 or 06

not sure but i know the there were two different 04's, some refer the later 04 models as the 04.5, which are basically 05's. one quick way to check to see if its a 04 or 04.5 is to check for knee pads on the side of of center console area. 04.5 have them 04's do not

depends on the 03 your looking at. I gotta helluva deal on an 03 touring with only 18K miles. ONly cost me 21 Grand. Perfect condition, never raced. LIke new. But i would pay more attention to the conditions of the years youre looking at. But as far as differences, none that i know of.

The are several cosmetic differences. A non-enthusiast would not recognize those minor differences.

The 04.5 has a revised suspension, with a stiffer/thicker front sway bar, and some other suspension changes to try and fix ride quality and tire wear. The former was "corrected", while the latter continued to plauge the car.
