Default Nissan Canada Bunch Of @@@@@@

Well the snow is melting and i m getting ready to take my baby out,i had all these plans ready for it,twins where on there way,cat back exhaust, you name it.. I went to visit my nissan dealer for some info, and they told me,if i touch anything on my engine i lose my warranty... Even if i change my air filter,i lose it... The only thing your allowed to change is the exhaust(go figure)Whats the point of changing the exhaust if you cant do anything else, now is it worth losing your warranty? Nissan u.s.a lets you do whatever you want and you still keep the warranty, lucky b@@@@@.oh well thats life here in canada....

Interesting. And of course you read the warranty to verify this fact?

bro, they can't void the whole warranty, if your turbos cause an engine failure, then obviously they wont cover it, but if they won't let's say warranty your malfunctioning radio due to turbos, then we have a problem, anyway search the magnusson moss act, this clearly states that the onus in on the dealership to prove that your mods caused the problem at hand, and unless they can prove it, they have to repair it. Good luck

Mouwahaha, Where were you the last couple of years?

It's not the dealer that warranty your car, it's Nissan Canada.

Even the exhaust could void your warranty. Then it's up to you to fight then in court.

Of course, if there are no (more) mods on your car when you get it in for a blown engine, it will be covered under warranty...

do the mods and keep all stock parts. If the engine blows put it back to stock and play dumb. Say you were driving in a school xone and wham, hehe. I don't even know if this would be possible, putting FI back to stock. But it sure would be funny.

all they have to do is prove the aftermarket part you installed is causing the problem. a lot of dealers can/will SOMEHOW find a connection between problems... unless its an engine problem and the only thing you did was replace the radio. but i had a friend get screwed over by subaru because he installed an intake and then suddenly his air conditioner didnt work anymore, and they linked the porblem to the intake somehow using crazy jargon and didnt have to replace it. weird.

Yeah, we lose our warranties too. Everybody does with turboes I would say if they can prove that that's what caused the problem. If you want warranty wait to mod it and if you don't care (like me) just do whatever you want and have some good friends who can fix **** when it goes wrong, . Good luck!

Well, they will warranty it if you use Nismo brand products!

Like someone said, keep the stock parts and swap back if you need to, unless you go twins. Then your SOL.
