Oh all of you shush and leave her alone! I go to the University of Washington and see tons of asians with benz's and lexus' (IS class in particular), it's a common sight in the U district.
My dad owns a 2003 BMW 330Ci, the current 06 model is still under the E46 style, so it's still great looking, unlike the Bangled up sedan version.
The car is slower than the Z overall in acceleration (0-60 in 6.4 seconds) but the gadgets and everything he has in there make it sooo much more luxurious.
He payed 45k (tax included, pretty much fully loaded with the sports package), so be prepared to take a beating with your car funds. However 45 boxes of ziti is cheaper than what your desired Escalade would cost.

P.S. Almost every culture is about status... Which is why there will always be "name brands" and what not.

I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT GT2 IS NOT BEING DRIVEN BY A STUDENT. I have seen the person driving it getting out and he certainly wasn't in the age range of the typical college student. Now of course that's faulty reasoning since any person of any age can go to school, but why would he be parking there all the time if he's going to school? The parking garages under Odegaard or elsewhere would be a much better option to keep it safe from being keyed. My guess is that he is a smalltime business owner of a restaurant or store on the Ave. The fact that he's "leaving" 150k + of vehicle out on a road with tons of people walking by clearly shows it's just gum money to him.
As for the Ferraris, isn't Ferrari of Seattle close by to that location? They could just simply be cars driven in and out of the dealership. I strongly doubt any parent no matter how rich would be buying their children a car that they cannot handle.
