Im really upset i didnt make the Performance meet. My car is being tunned and didnt make it. I was goign to ride with Skar718 but overslept.

To make a long story short I drove by the 210 FWY around 2 PM and was driving in my "litte" Hyundai and I caught up to about 4-5 TT and supercharged Z's. Being a Z owner and a new turbo owner myself I caught up and yelled "nice car" to one of them and he rolled his eyes bothered and yelled "you dont think I know that fool"? I was like WTF? Grrrr.......not only was i droolling over the Z cruise i was witnessing but now I was pissed. Why are we like that. If someone compliments my car I say thanks but I dont get all feelign liek im a superior person.

Oh well. Even though I regret not making the meet i got a gig in the mornign to fly a client to Vegas and back (drop him off) so I made enough now for my Boost controller LOL. Something good came out of this. So when car comes back ill shop for the boost controller and raise boost on this puppy!!!

I've only owned my Z for just over a month and when complemented I say thanks, I don't get all superior or anything. IMO some people think they are better by nature and not just because they own a Z.

 

i always say thanks and i actually hate when people mention anything about the car b/c i feel embarrassed or something, i find i don't know what to say.

This may be a group that you will want to avoid in the future.

 

This problem is not isolated to Z owners. It seems many car/bike owners of all makes have their head up their ***. Hell, you can't even say hello to another vehicle/bike owner without getting strange looks or no response at all.

 

My thing is that I would rather someone comment on my car (good or bad) than drive by and keep staring at me cuz IDK what they're thinkin.....freaks me out

 

WTH even with a turbo its still only a Nissan, only people in Ferreri's get to act that way

 

I hate to hear things like this. And you think thats bad?? I'll be in my Z and i see other Z drives and i try to wave or give them a thumbs up and they give me a pissed off face or they speed away. Some people are just A-Holes.

Its not about the car ,sounds like driver error ,some people need to
make themself feel better by acting like total tools.

I was given a compliment for my Z today at the gas station, and I acknowledged their compliment and just said how long I've had it and that it's a great car. What's so freakin' hard about that?

To all the Z owners out there that act like a$$holes:

Dude you should of been there man. It was awesome. So many Z's and G's, 300ZX, GTR's. and 240SX's. But yeah some people are like that but not many. Of all the Z drivers out there, I would say only about 5% are @$$holes. BTW if you said that about my Z, I would greatly appreciated it even though I am not boosted.

 

Some people identify their self worth and social position with the car that they drive. Therefore, having bas-@$$ wheels means they suddenly get to have an elitist attitude.

But the funny thing is if they step back for a second, they should notice that their wheels ain't all that "bad-@$$" (all/any cars, not just the Z). Or maybe once an a-hole always an a-hole, and you just can't change that, no matter what kind of ride they're rolling in.

 

ya me2..i get alot of compliment, and i respond them politely! one guy was like nice car man..i bet u get a lot of girls, i was like ya haha, but really i dont get girls that much but i wish haha, nice rims on ur accord i like em! he was cool about it.

 

Sorry to hear this happened to you...unfortunately it only takes a few Z owners like that to make us all look bad
