Question Question about Locking/Clicking/Clanging Sound from Rear

Hey guys,

Alright so this is not a problem necessarily. Sometimes when I shift I hear this sound from the rear coming from the rear axle. I am pretty sure it is the LSD. I am trying to figure out what the Z is exactly doing. It sounds more like a locking/clicking/clanging sound like when I shift into a gear at a rpm/speed that is not ideal. I definetly noticed this when I was driving in a garage under 10 mph. As I was slowing down to nearly 0 mph, I noticed my car was so ready to give out unusually so at the speed and the locking/clicking sound was more noticable...as if it was trying to lock something in place but had trouble. Noticed it as I kept using the clutch to save it from stalling out. I then noticed I was in 4th gear (meant to be in 2nd).

Just trying to better understand my Z generally speaking and not claiming that I have a problem with my Z. Knowledge is power right? Feedback appreciated! Thanks.

could be the rear axle, there is a TSB for it. Search 'clicking from rear axle'

Whenever you have concerns about subjects such as clicking rear axle, search clicking rear axle. I found 141 entries. You could do the same.

I am aware of the clicking axle tsb, but I really don't believe that is the issue. Well maybe you or someone else can ride with me a bit on Saturday @ AAM and I'll show you what I am talking about so its a bit more clear/understandable what I am trying to describe.
