Default help!! need pic of stock plenum

had my z dynoed last night after i installed an evo2 exhaust. anyways opened the hood this morn and found my engine cover is missing a screw which i dont think is a big deal, but i think the plenum is missing two screws. no light came on after i drove it home from the shop. there are two threaded holes on top of the plenum, the closest ones to the windsheild. are there suppose to be screws in them? does any one have a pic of their's?

ok, i think i found some pics and it looks like there are no screws in those places unless you have a grouding system, i think. can anyone confirm?

this is how mine looks like. there are not suppose to be any screws in these two holes right?

While both the 350Z and G35 Engine covers use the same front mounting points, the G35 uses those two mounting points for the G's full engine cover's rear bolts. Here's a picture of my G's engine with the Z's engine cover. If you look closely you'll see that I installed cap screws (bolts) in the original rear mounting points.

To the original poster: no bolts there. You can also do an image search on google and see many pics of the engine all without screws in there.

Dave, is that the pop charger with a little longer tube to bring it more to the front? Do you have a hole in your hood or bumper? I am wondering if that kind of setup and the heatshield wrap around is more for peace of mind and to have an extra perfect setup, or whether it really makes a difference. It definitely looks interesting.

Thanks

This question actually came up last week or so. Those two holes are for the G35 engine cover and the Z doesn't need them.
