Is that covered under warranty? I go to put my drink in my cupholder in front of the passenger and the bottom piece breaks off, drink falls right through to the floor.

 

Is it a result of a deficiency of materials or workmanship

or

abuse?

 

How would I be able to tell? all i know is that i see little broken pieces of plastic on the floor and have no idea where it came from. I don't know how I could have abused it. I used it only for the sole purpose it was made for, and that was to hold a drink.

 

Should be covered under the basic 3yr/36K warranty. I had mine replaced under warranty even though I didn't have the same problem you had. Mine was stuck.

 

mine was. i clearly broke it, but they didnt care. it should be built to handle a drink being put into it not too firmly.

 

mine is stuck, but I'm outta warranty. plus I don't care enough about that thing to fix it. its one of the more stupid things on the Z IMO.

 

Tell them it broke when you were pushing it back in. It is a coverable item under warranty.
