BTW, no need to search for and post the best motoring vids which include the 350z and m3.

And there is a best motoring video with a Z beating M3 on the track, have it on my computer.

Who TF cares? I style in my Z and the $$ saved bought me several guitars, new wood floors in the house and a Rolex. So KMA!

Out of the box, the M3 will work a 350z, especially an auto... With mods, however, the Z can more than hang and in some cases beat and M3 on the streets. I've done it plenty of times as I have a friend with the 6MT Comp. Pkg. E46 M3 (stock)... They're undoubtedly hot cars. I've driven it on a regular basis and the car is absolute fun once you switch on that sport button. 8k redline is also loads of fun... If money were no object, I'd take the M3, but since they are notoriously expensive to fix, maintain and buy... I baught my 350z and enjoy every minute of it. I spent 32k OTD for my '05 Silverstone Touring whereas he spend $60k OTD for his M3... These days, I've invested 37K towards my Z when you include mods and purchase price... I'm at about his level of performance in a straight line and get more or less the same compliments...

Yeah, the M3 has been beat on the track..and it has beaten many cars as well...same with the 350Z...(professional drivers and course)..but out of the box, the M3 has the advantage.....as for mildly tuned, the tides can change quickly...and this is from personal experience of owning both cars and having track time with both of them..

If you really wish to validate your point, you should get some real world experience in each car and comment then. The best motoring videos are good for entertainment, but not for much else.

I spent $29700(out the door) on my 05 350z base model $6900 greddy twin turbo kit installed w/ bov, turbo timer, boost gauge. about $1000 for straight pipes and exhaust. $900 for lighter flywheel and better clutch and pressure plate. total comes to $38,500. dynoed at 5.5 psi of boost which is very low, makin 355 wheel horse power.... I've had a BMW before loved the car but when it came to modds it's pretty limited.. i never seen a 10 or 9 second 1/4 BMW in my life but i do know of plenty NISSANs pulling 9 to 7 second 1/4 mile...
All in All the 350z has more aftermarket applications that's why i traded my bmw in for it... I spank lotsa cars out there for a fraction of the price and i can push more power if i want with little investment....I know of a magazine project 350Z that is targeted to make over 600 horse power on pump gas... I don't see any magazines doing that on BMWs..M3

im not too sure about modded. only mods that make a difference on M3's are ECU and FI. trust me. my cousin has one w/ ECU and it hauls ***, and my friends good friend has a 10k supercharger on the M3 that doesnt include installation. 10k for the supercharger is alot. its been shown that the BMW engines are maxed out, you can barely get any more power out of the engine, even with exhaust, losses in HP have been seen, just a sexy noise. Dont get me wrong, i looove the M3 and respect everything it has and can do. BUT you get some modded Z's and race an M3 with equivelant mods, the Z should have the advantage. put suspension on the M3 (my cousin has KW coilovers) andthe car takes the twisties like heaven...

And the M3 is superior in every way to the 350z? Well, the 350z is available with a nice brembo 4/2 piston setup from the skyline gt-r.. the M3 comes with 1 piston sliding calipers, even the CSL.
M3 has struts in the front... 350z has a better suspension geometry. probably has a stiffer chassis as well.
The m3 should be better in most every way, it costs about double. It is like saying an F430 is better then a 911 in every way... (well no sh**, it costs twice as much)

To finish your post, you seem to agree that the M3 should be better since it costs double. Last time I checked my Z cost $38K sticker (track w/ all options including navi). That's not quite 1/2 the M3 price. It's real funny to rip on the S54 because it's FACTORY over 100hp/L, revving 8K+. Unfortunately, my sh*tty VQ doesn't even break 7K (non-rev up engine), nor anywhere near 100hp/L.
M3 > Z. But I love my Z because it does what I expected when I bought it: looks awesome and has enough power on tap when I want it.
