Default Rims or body kit first

ok i just got an 06 z, i am going to get both a lip kit and rims on it. I know there isnt but one kit out for the 06 yet.

Once more kits come out what should i get first, as it will be a couple of months in between getting the other.

So rims first, or a lip kit first? O'well i get to work on performance mods till there are choices on lip kits

That way, if you later decide against a body kit, you'll still be lookin' good with just rims.

If you did the kit first and later decided not to do rims, your Z would look like

I think.... oh yeah rims!

a full body kit (especially an aggressive one) with stock rims looks bad IMO. I saw this celica with a full wide body kit, but stock rims at a recent car show. it was the most ridiculous looking thing.

IMO, depends on what year your car is. I'm very happy with my 2006 stock wheels. As a matter of fact I tried to get my hands on the stock 2006 Coupe Grand Touring wheels. I have a body kit, just make sure that your suspension is nice and low.

I like the way my car looks.

Since the Z looks hot the way it is, go with the wheels!

well, depends on the kit. I think the Nismo kit is subtle enough to not change the wheels immediately (key word: immediately, since it would look way better with wheels).

your 06 already comes with a nice set of 18" wheels. If you had the 17" wheels, then i would definitely say get the wheels first.

if you do decide to get the wheels first, let me know if you want to sell your stock 18"

IMO the Convertible Zs lose some "Z"-ness... Maybe it's the disruption of the overall shape or something... just saying cuz I saw that pic ^^.
