Angry Extended Warranty & TSB's???

Ok, I'm well into my extended warranty on my 03 Touring as the Z is a few weeks away from being 3 years old, but it has 55k mi. on it...

Just recently these problems came about:

door motors crapping out
cd player skipping excessively
grease streaks (been there since I got it new)

I believe all three fall into the TSB categories:

TSB's

Now, I could of sworn that if it was a TSB Issue, Nissan would cover it and there would not be any out of pocket expense , but then again I could be wrong, cause they want me to pay $150 (The stupid $50 deductable on the exteneded warranty) $50 per job ...

So, are they screwing me or am I just screwed...

An extended warranty is only as good as the company who stands behind it.

You need to read your extended warranty and make sure it covers more than the powertran! Sure a shop is going to look at it @ $50 a pop and the warranty company is just going to say not covered and you're out $$$.

Well it's the one through Nissan, their "Security plus warranty", I have the paperwork at home and can see whom the third party is, if there is one...

Now about them being TSB issues, does it not matter???

TSB fixes should be no cost to you.

i have an 03 touring w/ extended security+ warranty also. had both the windows give me problems at 38k. drivers side window wouldn't always work, the pass side would go down after auto up (had it reset before at the same dealer). dealer charged me $50 per window. they said the motor was out on the drivers side and the regulator was bad on the pass side. I argued with both nissan and the local deal and still had to pony up $50 each. Good luck.

That sucks, they told me the same exact thing (window motors and the $50 per), well it looks like I should go grab some KY for this ride...

But, I will let you all know if I can get this done w/o having to cough up the dough...

wow, that sucks. I would have thought if you have the nissan b2b extended warranty then TSB's would be covered w/o ded. oh well, I guess I'm glad I had all my TSB's addressed before the basic warr expired.

I brougth my car in under the regular warranty for a few TSB's. The dealership somehow "forgot" about one. When my car was 300 miles out of warranty and all my parts had come in the other TSB's i asked why no mention of the one. I had to fork out $50 to cover the deductable. That was after having NNA get involved. Some dealerships just suck, unfortunately everyone in my area seems to

Well that depends, since I'm having the grease streaks and the driver side motor replaced it counts as 1, but the cd player also counts as 1 and so does the passenger side door... They just love to @ssrape thier customers...

The security plus warranty states per assembly/per piece, I believe...

So, I guess the moral of the story is check the tsb list link I posted at the top and get them all done (that apply to your vehicle), before your standard factory warranty runs out, or else...

BTW Nissan blows, when it comes to customer service...

TSBs are bulletins that advise how to fix things. Not automatically a warranted repair. I have a 03 touring with 45K and the Gold warranty program. I just had the passenger window motor replaced for free. I have terrible skips with the CD player and the grease streaks on both windows. I need to take it in again….

Well unlike so many of us, you might have opted for the option w/o the $50.00 deductable (aka the more expensive one), had I done that, I wouldn't be paying a dime either...
