Default 0-60 times different for 06 s?

Whats the 0-60 times for the different 06 s? Are they different or are they all the same? I thought they all have the close ratio 6sp with the same gear ratios, and it was the weight of the different s that offset the time?

Welcome.

Do a bit of research and you will see that the 2006 350Z has 13 more horsepower and 14lesspounds of torque. Which has better 0-60 mph times? It depends who is driving.

Yes Ive realized that since I have done a little bit of research already on my own. I just cant seem to find valid info on the 2006. Basically what im trying to ask is the track version really any faster than the base aside from having upgraded wheel, brakes, added acessories etc. ? The 2006 are down to low 5's now arent they? Compared to when they first came out in 02?

Also i heard from a friend that works at a Nissan dealership that mentioned how the Altima SE-R is faster than the 350z? Is that true? Sorry I have a lot of curiousity with cars....

I think if you put me in a 03-05, I would have a better result than if I was driving the 06 because of the extra weight.

What tool are you using to measure your 0-60 time? I s/c'd mine at 376rwhp and got 5.4 . I used the one ($300) that you plug in to your ac outlet. The car feels way faster but my times suc...

The altima se-r is quick but it only has 260hp and weighs 3279lbs. The heaviest Z coupe is the GT at 3404lbs with 300hp. You do the math. My 3188lbs 287hp 04.5 base model will whipe the pavement with an altima se-r. As a matter of fact I did just that about 2 weeks ago.

Do you drive a 350Z? Have you ever been to the drag races?

0-60 is so stupid, it doesnt come close to representing what kind of performance the car truely is capable of doing. only newbies are concerned about 0-60 times. its all about the 60ft, 1/8th mile and quarter mile times. its not the newbies fault its all the car magazines who always quote 0-60 times for performance comparison.

No. It's REALLY about balance. 100 hp/L is a good balance, and so is a 70mph slalom, pulling a .90 G, 50/50 weight ratio, and power weight ratio. If you can do all that, then it doesn't matter what your 0-60, 1/8th mile, 1/4 mile times are, your car will outperform most cars in its class.

These cars arent specifically made for 1/4 mile or 0-60. They are track cars, they have negative camber stock for a reason. I bet if you fix the camber on a stock Z and lower the tire pressure a bit you can get into the low 5 second 0-60 mark. We do have enough hp guys, its all about putting it down to the ground.
